OCD Still Tagged Along For This Trip - But it didn't stop us from seeing everything we wanted to see!

It is really really hard to choose the photos to post! I have gone through the album on my computer over and over again but this was the final amount. I got there eventually. A little hungry, thirsty and maybe time for an early night. Okay, that is an exaggeration of some proportion!

These photos are from a trip to Paris from just over 2 years ago. It was our second wedding anniversary and it was wonderful. We were there in November and I think it made it that much nicer. I love Autumn, the colours and the crisp air and it is the perfect temperature, in my opinion. I love looking back on the photos because it is such great memories and also because Paris is such a beautiful place to visit!

Apparently the french are rude but I have to admit, I never came across that once on our trip. I think saying that they are rude is even more of an exaggeration than the first!

Can anyone tell me what this is supposed to mean?? I just don't get it!

  1. I just wanted to add, I have more photos to add to this post. I couldn't decide on just a few photos, so expect a part 'deux'

  2. I can't wait for part deux!

I have no idea what that sign means -- maybe no children allowed?

Anyway, Oh my! They let you take pictures of the Mona Lisa!? And you've seen her in person! Wow!

The arch d'triumph is amazing. I studied it a lot in various classes in college (I majored in histroy and classics and took a few art history classes where we studied the arch).

What is that first picture? Is that Versailles?

DId you go up to the top of the Eifle tower?

Paris looks amazing! My Mom was just telling me the other day how she and my Dad went there in the early 1970's and had a blast.

  3. No children does make sense, but a shame for the children!

I think that the Mona Lisa was the most gaurded piece there, thick layers of glass infront of it and security beside it and around the room. The glass makes it hard to get a clear photo but it makes sense to turn the flash off, besides, flash will only harm the paintings and I get annoyed when I see people taking photos of paintings with the flash on! grrr!

The first photo is at the Louvre. We spent the entire day at the louvre and even then its impossible to see the whole thing and you can't rush it, it is an amazing place to visit.

We didn't go up the Eifle tower. It was so busy we decided against it. The wait would have been hours before we could start to venture up and unfortunately I had an upsetting experience at the tower, where a man grabbed my arm, I think he was trying to sell me something but I ended up in tears and shouting to be left alone :(

I want to go back to Paris again, desperately!

  4. That is an upsetting experience to have anywhere-- let alone at the Eifle tower!

  5. As upsetting as it was, I wouldn't let it stop me from going back there and enjoying myself and posibly making my way up the Eifle tower! Now, why can't I have the same attitude towards my ocd?
